I can’t help but disaster plan as I clean my house, finally dismantling Christmas after a whirldwind couple of months. It’s hard not to think about the fires burning on the other side of the country as I carefully wrap our ornaments—vintage glass and macaroni angels made by first graders I had in CCD class 30 some years ago. Precious nostalgia and memories carefully being wrapped in tissue paper until they reemerge next year.
