I remember your good nature and wicked sense of humor. It was a special accomplishment to make you to laugh at dirty jokes, despite your best efforts. You had the ability to make any situation a little more fun/bearable, with a little effort and imagination. There was never a circumstance when dessert wasn’t a good idea.

Before the #alzheimers really took hold you said you wanted things to be as normal as possible for as long as possible. So we kept on going, and I did my best to keep you smiling.

Those moments are so few and far between now. I’m not even sure if it’s possible to get you to laugh anymore. But I’ll keep telling you dirty jokes, keep poking my finger in your nose, wishing, just one more time, you’d tell me to piss off proper. ❤️
